United Airlines Automated People Mover Expansion Phase 3

Project Description

F&F executives and core team members provided Construction Management services for the new construction of a state of the art station, secure corridor connecting the North and South concourses of Terminal A, and the expansion of the Automated People Mover from Terminal B to Terminal A.

The expansion allows passengers to travel from Terminal A to all other terminals in order to connect to their flights without having to pass through security. Design began in March of 2006 and the groundbreaking was in April 2008. The expansion of the train system allowed for an increased capacity from 4-2 car trains to 6-2 car trains allowing the transportation between terminals of more than one million passengers a day.
